Each fall, NVS, along with NVSU, holds the annual ARC event celebrating NVSU clients and their success stories.  The ARC is also an opportunity to honor our volunteers and the companies who partner with NVSU and NVS.

Educational Seminars            top

Business Advisory Council (BAC)   Event for Supporters Event for Professionals  Event for Employers 
Quarterly hosted breakfast meetings, comprised of human resources specialists and other business professionals. Current employment needs and trends are discussed, as well as methods to help clients prepare for and find work. Guest speakers present on topics of Human Resources interest.

Job Club      Event for Employers   Event for Clients
Job club meets every Mondays and Wednesdays from 9am - 10am at our 401 Broadway Office.  Click here for directions or to contact us.

All clients referred to the NVSU receive a comprehensive job seeking skills package to include sequenced one hour sessions on job search organization, resume and application completion, mass marketing letter campaign, effective use of computer job search engines, dress and grooming for the interview, job interview training, Americans with Disabilities Act and other relevant employment legislation, job site accommodation strategies and resources (Job Accommodation Network [JAN]), informational interview training, disability disclosure considerations, employer hiring incentives, cold call practice, follow up strategies, interpersonal skills on the job, etc.

Employers are welcome to attend our job clubs. We are always welcome employer input on job development, interviewing, keeping your job once you have it, among other things. Presenters, please contact us for more information on presenting at one of our job clubs.
